Pebble flow is an electric travel trailer with its own drive

California-based startup Pebble will use the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2023 next month to launch its debut product, an electric trailer called Flow.

The 25-foot Pebble Flow, which has a concept similar to that of the competing California startup Lightship L1 and the well-known company for the production of eSTREAM tourist trailers from Airstream, is equipped with a unique battery and drive system designed to assist vehicles performing towing from time to time, which makes towing more energy efficient. It also helps to increase the power reserve, allowing you to get the most out of your car. This is especially important if the tow truck is an electric vehicle.

This drive can also be used remotely to drive the trailer into and out of hard-to-reach places, as well as during blocking. Pebble has also developed a thread hitch feature called Magic Hitch. Thanks to this function, the trailer is automatically installed by itself and attached to the tow truck. In order to cope with the flow, towing vehicles require a load capacity of at least 6,200 pounds. The battery is rated at 45 kWh, and Pebble says it can power all the electrical appliances in the trailer. Pebble claims that by combining solar panels (1 kW charge) with regenerative brakes, flow operates autonomously for up to 7 days.

To make it easier to stay outdoors, Pebble Flow has an InstaCamp feature that sets up camping spots at the touch of a button, as well as unfolds or removes canopies, ladders, lights and automatic level stabilizers for loading in seconds.

The trailer is also equipped with amenities such as a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator, compatibility with Starlink, a sleeping place for 4 people and a special application for controlling many functions, such as an air conditioning system.

Prices for Pebble Flow start from £109,000. The affordable magic package, which includes a more powerful drive system, remote control and a magic hitch feature, has a starting price of up to $125,000. The company is expected to start deliveries at the end of 2024.
