Alpine Alpenglow Hy4, Bentley Edition 8: Today's Automotive News
Alpine's Alpenglow concept, originally unveiled in 2022, has been updated with a complete interior and functional powertrain. The powertrain is a four-cylinder designed to run on hydrogen, and Alpine will demonstrate its performance this weekend at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps race track.
Bentley announced the end of the stand-alone V-8 engine with the introduction of special Edition 8 versions of the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur. the V-8 engine will be paired with a plug-in hybrid system, but in the future still to be offered.
Before Porsche announced plans for the first 911 Turbo, the concept was unveiled at the 1973 Frankfurt Motor Show. At the time of this presentation, Porsche did not have a turbocharged engine available, so the engineers mounted a simulated turbocharger made of wood on a naturally aspirated engine for the show. The full story of this concept is at the following link.
