Ford recalls thousands of vehicles with potentially defective turbocharged engines
Ford has issued a recall for several Ford and Lincoln brand vehicles due to a potential engine stall.
Vehicles affected by the recall include model year 2021-2022 Ford Bronco, F-150, Edge, and Explorer vehicles, as well as model year Lincoln Nautilus and Aviators.
However, only models equipped with Ford's twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 and twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engines, which are part of the company's Nano Series engine, are affected.NHTSA's August 23 recall notice ( Recall Campaign Number 24V635000) states that the engines in the affected vehicles may have damaged intake valves, which could result in stalling and loss of control by the driver

Owners may notice that the vehicle runs rough and the engine warning light comes on before the engine stalls, according to the notice.
Ford said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.
