2025 Audi E-Tron GT gets Performance boost,値札126,795 price tag

With the Audi R8 bowing out of production in May, Audi's flagship role is now in the E-Tron GT. Therefore, Audi has given the electric Super sedan a major performance improvement for its mid-cycle update.

Instead of confusing the already handsome line of the E-Tron GT, Audi focused on improving the vehicle's range, charging, handling, and available power, just as Porsche did with the update of the E—Tron GT's Taycan brothers.

The updated E-Tron GT was first shown in May and is now available to order in the US. Audi confirmed the starting price of the starting126,795 on Thursday, which is a sharp rise from the starting price of the 2024 model's starting107,995, but there is good reason for this.

The 2024 E-Tron GT's 523 hp base model has been discontinued, and instead the entry point is the new 670 hp S E-Tron GT. It offers up to 637 hp, from 845 hp in updated form, followed by the new RS E-Tron GT performance flagship, the existing RS E-Tron GT model with 912 hp, making it the most powerful production Audi yet. In the US, only the S E-Tron GT and RS E-Tron GT performance are available. The S E-Tron GT is priced from 1 126,795 above and the RS E-Tron GT's performance is priced from 1 168,295 above. Both numbers include a destination fee of destination1,295.

All models feature dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain. They also include a boost function that provides an extra 10 horsepower for a 94-second stint. Peak performance is offered in RS E-Tron GT performance and includes 2.5 seconds 0-62mph acceleration and a top speed capped at 155mph.

The battery is the same 105kwh unit attached to the updated Taikan. Despite its large capacity, it sits lower and also weighs slightly less than the 93kwh unit it replaces. The battery alone weighs about 1,378 pounds. The charging speed is also fast thanks to the maximum charging speed rising from the current 270kw to up to 320kw. The energy available for brake regeneration has also increased from 290kw to 400kw.

Audi estimates the 300-mile range of the S E-Tron GT in the EPA test cycle and uses 20-inch wheels. Range estimates of the performance of the RS E-Tron GT have not been published. Estimates of the EPA's range of the outgoing E-Tron GT top out at 249 miles.

Some important changes have also been made to the mechanical bits. These include a more powerful braking system with a standard 10-piston front caliper across the range. The S E-Tron GT uses a steel rotor and the RS duo uses a tungsten carbide coated rotor design (available in the S). Carbon ceramic rotors are also available across the range.

Audi also said it had strengthened the drive shaft and readjusted the electronics responsible for the torque distribution of the all-wheel drive system. Suspension has also been updated. This includes a new 2-chamber, 2-valve air suspension, 1-valve version to replace the 3-chamber. Audi says it improves driving dynamics without compromising comfort. Buyers can also choose an active suspension system. It is an air suspension plate that comes with a pre-programmed mode and with a configurable mode specifically designed for truck driving. Rear wheel steering is also available to assist with handling.

In the updated E-Tron GT appearance, the most noticeable change is in the front fascia. There is a clear design for the S and RS duo, with RS cars getting the front fascia to make them look even wider and more planted. Audi also offers new colors to choose from, depending on the grade, some carbon accents, including the roof. Panoramic glass roofs are also available.

Inside, the e-Tron GT acquires a new design of seats, handles and door sills, and a digital gauge cluster displays the temperature, the maximum possible charging rate in real time, and the expected charging completion.

The production of the E-Tron GT is carried out at the same specialized factory in Neckerslum, Germany, where Audi made the R8. U.S. deliveries are expected to begin in 2025 Q1.
