Jaguar Design vision concept was teased ahead of the 12th month. 2 Debut

Jaguar offers the first look at the long-awaited concept car that will preview the design for a sophisticated grand tourer. The car, which will arrive next year, symbolizes the automaker's shift to a super-luxury electric car maker.

A teaser photo released late Wednesday shows the Jaguar Design Vision Concept. In 2024, Miami Art Week ranked No. 2. The photo shows the concept from the rear, revealing a fast-back roof that does not seem to have a rear window, like the Polestar4. Polestar uses the camera and rear camera mirror to see what's going on.

The teaser comes a day after Jaguar unveiled its new logo and brand, which avoids the traditional performance image of the automaker in favor of something that might appeal to more fashion-conscious buyers. Jaguar said the new branding is to make its value "relevant to a modern audience.""

Under Jaguar's transformation plan, first announced in 2021, the automaker will launch 10 electric vehicles in the last 3 years. Large SUVs and sedans are expected to follow the Grand Tourer.

Jaguar released several photos of the heavily camouflaged prototype for the Grand Tourer in early May 11, showing a sleek car with a bluff front end, a long hood, and a cabin pushed backwards, a bit like the original XK. But there seems to be few sensual curves that characterize the Jaguar of the past, like the concept shown in the teaser.

The Grand Tourer will debut in production form next year and will be shipped in 2026. It's a risky move for Jaguar, which has already started axing its current lineup in several markets, including UK homes. In these markets, dealers who typically have land rovers to sell will focus on clearing current inventory ahead of the arrival of new EVs.

The new breed will be placed in a higher price range than the one Jaguar has recently cost, and will ride on a dedicated EV platform named JEA (Jaguar Electrified Architecture). Jaguar has previously said that a unique platform is important to separate its Ev from those of its sister company Land Rover.

Jaguar suggests that the Grand Tourer will arrive at a starting price of about 100,000 British pounds (about1163,000). The automaker has also promised more power than previous Jaguar road cars, and a range of 430 miles based on WLTP test cycles used abroad. The range should still be well over 300 miles if measured in the more stringent EPA cycles in the United States
